Not Looking for Limiting Beliefs

In this series of paintings, besides the obvious from its title, when I look at Nature, I try to express what I see and feel by going deeper in terms of freedom, discovery, techniques, color and lots of courage. For those who are artists, I guess the word courage is familiar when talking about creativity. Takes time to get to this level and mainly a lot of work and dedication to one’s art.

Bye The Sea

This series of paintings is dedicated to my new surroundings and its nature. I moved recently to a small village near Ericeira and this body of work talks about my feelings and emotions in my walks when I’m confronted with the landscapes and seascapes, full of beauty and color. I paint what I see inside of me.

New Beginnings

In life we can have as many new beginnings as we want, and they can actually work if we are true to ourselves. I know this by experience. This series I started in January/23 is dedicated to new beginnings and celebrates new paths in my art.

Looking Closer

One of my favorite things is looking closer to nature’s details when I go on my walks. This Series is dedicated to all the details that somehow got imprinted in my mind.

Moving On

As a self-taught emergent artist, every day is a good day to get out of the comfort zone and pursuit new paths. This Series of paintings represent a turning point in my abstract art, because it was here when I started to be bolder and fight against my limiting beliefs. In some works, I used oil and cold wax, in others acrylic, and once more color played an important role.

The Garden

The Garden Series is dedicated to memories imprinted in my mind about my garden. My relationship with this flora is very strong and teaches me a lot in terms of color, texture and design. Observing these plants growing everyday is not only a therapy, but also a precious demonstration of all stages a plant goes through, not to mention the light, if it’s a cloudy or a sunny day. It’s a world of possibilities for my work.

Inside Out

This Series of paintings represent my effort in learning to embrace and accept my flaws and imperfections, as well everything that makes me uncomfortable. The seeking of truth in my work, and life, has been a constant reminder, and has empowered me to understand that I can only realize my full and true potential by going out of my comfort zone.
